Linda Nelson started L & M Kee because she did not like the fashion styles she had to choose from at her local department stores. But that is not the only reason for this store. After recently acquiring her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting she wanted to gain extra experience in the world of business. Starting a business of her own opened the door to new experiences and knowledge.
L & M Kee is just in the beginning stages. Linda wears all the hats and is learning all the steps and stages for this business. From finding stylish apparel that fits all sizes and shapes to securing suppliers who are dependable it has been an uphill learning curve. Knowledge is not learned overnight.
The latest problem that popped up for L & M Kee was logistics. A year ago when the store first opened the average shipping time was no more than 20 business days. Then the Coronavirus took the world by storm and normal delivery times became a thing of the past with orders sitting in customs for weeks on end.
Another hunt took place to find a way to solve the logistics problem. L & M Kee is not large enough to operate its own warehouse. There had to be another solution.
That solution came in the form of a different vendor that could solve the logistic problems facing L & M Kee. Now that the problem is satisfactorily solved, shipping times have improved to 8 - 14 business days. 2 weeks delivery on average.

9/12/2020 - Update: A new shipping partnership is formed. More domestic products added. These products are shipping from within the US.
Working toward fewer imports.
10/21/2020 - Update: It has been discovered that due to our company being in its early stages, we are not allowed to carry any (American Name Brand) Products. The rule hurts our ability to provide our customers with made in America products.
We will now work to discover only the best imports that we can ship as quick as possible. We are just as disappointed by this news as our customers. Yet, we will not give up, but will continue to move forward and adapt to any condition that is thrown our way.

12/10/2020 - Update: LMKee has discovered other suppliers to meet our needs. Our average delivery speed is 8 - 14 Business Days. This is a huge difference when compared to the shipping speed that the company has battled with since early January 2020. The selection of products has also improved and will continue to grow in the coming year.
There is two options for shipping available. Economy and Standard. Economy is free but the shipping speed is much slower. The faster shipping choice does come at a cost. LMKee will continue to discover ways to ship the product faster to you the customer.

12/16/2020 - Update: The return of L & M Kee Cosmetics line. Our New Year's resolution is to build up our in stock inventory. The plan is to slowly build our stock that will be ready to ship out immediately with the end goal of shipments arriving with in 3 to 5 days. Unfortunately, we will need to charge shipping for these products for a few months to help us grow. We appreciate your understanding. All other products will have the option of free economy or standard shipping.

2/02/2021 - Update: L & M Kee Cosmetic Line is back. We are offering subscriptions for cosmetics. You pick the frequency of shipments.
We are slowly adding stock merchandise. Otherwise, most items will deliver with in 8 - 16 Business days. A huge improvement compared to a year ago.
Free shipping has ended until the shipping companies have finished posting their rate increases. UPS, USPS, and FedEx are still not guaranteeing on time deliveries. We hope to return to free shipping by fall.
COVID-19 Update: Our staff is still practicing social distancing, wearing masks, and disinfecting our surroundings to protect each other and our customers. We hope to have everyone of our associates vaccinated no later than May. Last fall we took the initiate to receive flu vaccines
6/5/2021 – Update: Back in February, we brought back our cosmetic line. Then in April, we decided to add handmade soaps to this line. Our next addition will be our nail polish line that will be launching around 6/12/2021.
Last year, like everyone else, we were struggling through the pandemic. As of 6/7/2021, everyone at our facility will have had both of their COVID vaccines. Sanitation procedures will remain in effect to keep our staff and our customers safe.
Delivery update: most of our products arrive within 8 – 14 business days except for the occasional item that takes our manufacturing facilities to produce the article with about a 10-day processing time, keeping our inventory low to prevent overstocking.
Fashion styles quickly change, so once the product is sold out, there is a slim chance that it will return. We recommend you buy soon before your favorite dress is sold out.

9/24/2022 - Update: Over the past two years L & M Kee has searched all over for fashion that is sourced in the United States. We have finally found our answer. Most of these items have up to a 5 day processing time before they ship because they are made to order. Once they ship, they ship fast.
L & M Kee does not warehouse our products. We are not a manufacturer. What we do have is suppliers that make the styles for us. Some styles are still imported. However, over time we plan to replace these items with styles made here in the USA.

3/04/23 - Update: After careful consideration, L & M Kee has decided to not warehouse our products. This business model allows us to practice environmental sustainability by not needing to destroy unpurchased clothing that would find its way into landfills.
What this means: All orders are made are made as soon as an order is placed, which is why it takes L & M Kee a bit longer to deliver it to you. Making products on demand instead of in bulk helps reduce overproduction, so thank you for making thoughtful purchasing decisions!
